EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)
What is EFT?
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), often called "tapping," is a mind-body technique that combines elements of cognitive therapy with acupressure. By tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on emotional issues or physical sensations, EFT helps release emotional blocks, reduce anxiety, and rewire stress responses stored in your nervous system.
Your body holds what your mind cannot fully process. Stress, anxiety, unresolved emotions, and trauma live in your nervous system—and EFT provides a direct pathway to release what's been stored.
EFT can help with:
Reducing anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
Processing difficult emotions and memories
Releasing limiting beliefs and fears
Calming the nervous system in moments of activation
Supporting trauma processing and emotional healing
Research shows that EFT® can significantly reduce cortisol levels, decrease anxiety and depression symptoms, and support emotional regulation.
How I Use EFT in My Work
For high performers, the nervous system is often dysregulated—stuck in fight-or-flight, hypervigilant, or emotionally shut down. No amount of talking or strategizing can shift this when the body is holding the stress.
I integrate EFT into my work to:
Process specific fears, anxieties, or emotional blocks that arise during our sessions
Reduce stress and overwhelm in real-time
Release limiting beliefs about identity, worthiness, or what's possible
Support trauma processing alongside other modalities like Meditation & Brainspotting
Teach you to use tapping as a self-regulation tool you can access anytime, anywhere
EFT® is simple, portable, and profoundly effective. Many clients describe it as a game-changing tool they return to whenever they need to calm their nervous system or process difficult emotions.
Who This is For
EFT is particularly valuable for high performers who:
Feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unable to calm their mind
Get triggered easily or have strong emotional reactions
Carry stress or tension in their body
Want practical tools they can use independently
Are navigating high-stress transitions and need immediate nervous system support
Have tried talk therapy but still feel emotionally stuck
You don't need prior experience with EFT. It's accessible, easy to learn, and can be adapted to your comfort level and needs.
